Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Eldrahn Online (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Eldrahn Online or creating an account on the Eldrahn Wiki, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Wiki.js Account Information: When you create an account on the Eldrahn Wiki, we collect your username, email address, and password (securely hashed). You may optionally provide profile details such as a display name or avatar.
  • Your Contributions: Any pages you create or edit, comments you post, and revision history associated with your account are stored as part of the Wiki’s collaborative editing system. You retain ownership of your contributions, but they are licensed under CC‑BY‑SA‑4.0.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Google Analytics (only if enabled): If you choose to allow analytics, Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address (anonymized if enabled), device type, browser, approximate geographic region, pages viewed, time spent on the site, and interactions with embedded videos. If analytics is disabled, no Google Analytics scripts or cookies are loaded.
  • Embedded Videos: We use privacy-aware YouTube embeds. If analytics is disabled, videos load through youtube-nocookie.com with sandbox restrictions and do not set cookies. If analytics is enabled, standard YouTube embeds may set cookies and collect interaction data. YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
  • Render.com Hosting Logs: Eldrahn Online and the Eldrahn Wiki are hosted on Render.com. As part of normal server operation, Render may collect IP addresses, request URLs, timestamps, user agent strings, and error logs. Render stores all Wiki.js data as part of hosting the site but does not use this data for advertising or analytics.
  • Session Cookies: Wiki.js uses essential session cookies to keep you logged in. These cookies are required for account functionality.
  • LocalStorage: Your analytics preference is stored in localStorage under the key cookie_prefs_v1. This is not a cookie and does not track you across sites.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and maintain the Eldrahn Wiki and main website
  • Provide secure account access and authentication
  • Maintain attribution and revision history for collaborative content
  • Improve site performance, organization, and user experience
  • Understand how visitors use the site (only if analytics is enabled)
  • Prevent abuse, spam, and security threats

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. How Your Information Is Shared

  • Service Providers: We share technical data with Render.com (hosting), Google Analytics (only if enabled), and video platforms (embedded media). These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services.
  • Public Contributions: Any content you publish on the Eldrahn Wiki is publicly visible and licensed under CC‑BY‑SA‑4.0.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect the security of the site.
